THE CHATEAU
Nestling amongst trees, on the top of a hill, Château de Lartigolle has spectacular views of the Gers countryside and the nearby Pyrenees.The château comprises six luxurious ensuite double bedrooms, a large studio and three smaller double bedrooms in the wing.
The property sits in 22 acres of beautiful grounds. We have a wonderful, newly built tennis court and a separate area for other games. Beyond this lies our vineyard, orchard and an ancient wood full of wildlife and a plethora of indigenous trees. Between the wood and the château sits our 16m swimming pool with wonderful views down the valley and across the Gers countryside.
From the moment the château was acquired, an extensive programme of renovation and interior design began. The six main bedrooms each have there own unique style. Our approach has been to blend contemporary and antique furniture from France, London and New York and to compliment this with spectacular hand-printed wallpapers. Alongside the main bedrooms is a huge studio with its own bathroom, a perfect dormitory for up to six children.
Guests can relax and socialise in the comfort and elegance of the Clubroom or the petit salon where they can take afternoon tea or maybe even a quiet nap while no one is looking. There is a choice of locations for mealtimes; either in the splendour of the grand salon, which runs the full width of the chateau, in the courtyard under the shade of the chestnut trees or on the castle terrace looking out on the spectacular views. We also have a full size snooker table and a children's lounge, complete with baby-foot, table tennis, a sound system and plenty of space to chill, watch a DVD or play board games.
