This is where you get to read what some past guests have said about us and to watch some films created by those who have been to events at the chateau.
We love to see our world through the eyes of others, it helps us to understand how people spend their time here and what is important to them. From day one we have believed the best way to build a solid and enduring business is to let our customers be our sales team. We intentionally avoided doing conventional marketing, choosing to allow word of mouth and social media to do the hard work for us.
Anna and Will’s wedding review
With his Russian bride and family descending on the chateau we knew Anna and Will’s wedding was going to be an unusual mix of cultures and traditions. It was such a beautiful day and all captured perfectly in a succinct review and these beautiful pictures.
“Don’t even think of looking anywhere else. This is the place for your wedding”
Reviewed September 4, 2015
Do not hesitate to choose this as your venue. It will quite possibly be the best decision of your life.
Mary and Alan’s wedding video
Mary and Alan took their inspiration for the styling of their wedding from the 1930’s feel that is evident in parts of the chateau. They really pulled it off with fantastic attention to detail and this film captures the raw emotion and happiness for this wonderful celebration.
Claire and Luke’s wedding review
Luke’s picture on the home page of our website was the inspiration for the start of our ‘Celebrate Life’ concept, we just love everything that the picture represents about what we do here. You can still feel the emotion of their wedding in the words in their review, posted on Trip Advisor.
Dierdre and Stephen’s wedding video
When it comes to capturing what we mean by ‘Celebrate Life’ you can’t get a better example than Dierdre and Steven’s wedding and this film captures it all.

Kath and Eric, 2014
Inka and Ian, 2014
To say that our business would not have got where it is today without Trip Advisor would be something of an understatement. Without doubt the most important of all the social media tools to tell everyone what really happens here.
This year we reached two amazing milestones:
WEDDINGS AT LARTIGOLLE
REVIEWS ON TRIP ADVISOR
In the early days, before blogs, Twitter and Facebook were so powerful and we relied on good old fashioned press coverage to raise awareness. We were fortunate to have an article in the Guardian that really put us on the map. We found it online recently so you can read what they had to say about us back in 2006.
Today it is all about the blogs. We have been fortunate to have had some great coverage in some of the influential blogs that have appeared over the past few years. Here are some of the articles
“I am delighted to share with you a cool, gorgeous, chilled-out, beautifully decorated (phew!) 18th century chateau close to Toulouse, perfect for a romantic but relaxed wedding. Chateau Lartigolle. Ahh. This place is perfect.”
“Our venue was the main inspiration for our wedding – it was so beautiful. We didn’t want to detract from its beauty. We wanted a relaxed vibe for the day so we asked for a wild flower look for the tables, which turned out stunning.”
“There are rolling fields, handpicked bouquets, milk churns filled to bursting with blooms, walks in dappled glades, dinner in a French courtyard, a bevy of beautiful maids and kick ass dancing on Moroccan rugs in the moonlight..”
We had a production team from Toulouse come to do a Christmas photoshoot for a children’s clothing magazine. We don’t often have winter events here although we would love to, these pictures give a flavour of winter time at Chateau de Lartigolle.
A short film
James Butler was looking for a location to shoot a short promotional film for an exclusive brand of Armagnac and he asked if he could use Lartigolle. Over the course of one night he and his team produced this great little film.

SOME HELPFUL INFORMATION
WHERE ARE WE?
Lartigolle was born and raised in the Gers, south west France, formerly known as Gascony. It is a beautiful and untouched corner of France full of farms and agriculture, including booming organic production. There are rolling hills and beautiful historic villages at every turn.

HOW TO GET HERE
The local airports
There are a number of carriers that fly to the region from all over the UK. These are the most convenient airports that have regular flights from the UK and approximate traveling times from each:
Blagnac airport, Toulouse – 50 minutes - served by BA, easyJet and Ryanair (from November 2016)
Carcassone airport – 1hr 50 mins - served by Ryanair
Tarbes/Lourdes airport – 1hr 50 mins - served by Ryanair
Bergerac airport – 2 hrs - served by Flybe, Ryanair, Jet 2, BA
If you have a little more time then you could consider taking the train from Kings Cross to Paris, then Paris to Toulouse. Once you get to Toulouse you can then take a local train to Auch. That is the closest station to us and is about 15 minutes taxi ride away from Chateau de Lartigolle. Or 35 minutes to Ferme de Labarthe.
Taxi or hire car?
We recommend that you hire a car from Toulouse airport. Taxis are expensive, car hire is much better value. The roads are great and it is easy to get to us. Drive time to Chateau de Lartigolle from the airport is about 50 minutes and to Ferme de Labarthe is about 1h10.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS FROM TOULOUSE
Chateau de Lartigolle via GPS Lat: 43.611634 Long: 0.683041
Driving from Toulouse airport:
From Toulouse airport follow the sign towards Toulouse. After about 1km you will see your first sign for Auch. Keep following the signs for Auch. This will take you off the Toulouse peripherique and onto the N124. Follow the N124 out of Toulouse for 50kms, past Colomiers, Leguevin, past l’Isle Jourdain and through Gimont.
Just as you leave Gimont there is a roundabout. Take the third exit in the direction of Saramon on the D12.
Follow the D12 for 10kms and you will come to a roundabout. Turning left would take you to Samatan; straight on, Saramon. Turn right towards Pessan and Auch on the D349.
After following the D349 for about 7kms, you drive straight past the Aubiet/Castelnau Barbarens crossroads and continue on this road. There is another turning on the left to Castelnau Barbarens, do not turn here but keep on the same road bearing round to the right. You will pass a white water tower with aerials on the top about 50 metres from the road on your right. You are now on the D626.
After another 1km there is a turning to the left. This is the corner of our property. Take the left turning. On the left is an open field, on the right a bank topped with trees. After 100 metres on the right you will see a set of large white gates on a pair of sandstone pillars. This is the main entrance to the chateau.
Drive through the gates and follow the avenue of ancient oaks past the vineyard and orchard on the right, and the tennis court with views of the pool and the valley beyond on your left. The avenue then turns left and the chateau is straight in front of you.

THANKS AND CREDITS
There are many people that have helped us over the years and that we would like to thank for everything they have given us in terms of the experience, enthusiasm and their undoubted many and varied skills.
We have been fortunate to have had some of the world's best wedding photographers and videographers come to the chateau and capture it in all it's glory. Many of the images on this website are down to them and without these talented people we would never be able to show everyone what it is we do here. So we would like to thank those whose work we have used in this website and encourage you to visit their websites and commission them when you can. Just click on their names to visit their own websites.
